Full-scope, in-house. Designed to last. Built for community impact.

At Farallon Design Studio, we offer a complete, start-to-finish approach — from concept to installation — with no outsourcing and no guesswork. Our team of 18 artists, designers, and builders brings over 25 years of experience to every collaboration. Whether we’re working with a city planner, transit agency, or architectural firm, our process is designed for clarity, durability, and long-term impact.

1. Discovery & Community Engagement

Every project begins with listening. We conduct site analysis, review community needs, and work closely with stakeholders to understand the context, values, and vision of the space. When appropriate, we facilitate community workshops to incorporate local voices into the creative process.

2. Concept Development & Design

Our in-house team develops multiple concept renderings tailored to the site’s character and function — integrating aesthetics with architectural and civic priorities. We produce scaled mockups, technical drawings, and material samples, ready for all the decision-makers review and approval.

3. Fabrication

We fabricate every project in our own studio — whether it’s a 600-foot mosaic mural, an 18-foot sculpture, or transit-ready signage. Our materials are chosen for high-traffic, outdoor durability: mosaic, bronze, steel, and concrete.

4. Logistics & Installation

From reliable project coordination to transportation planning and maintenance, we manage every logistical detail. Our experienced team efficiently assists with installation of the artworks, in full compliance with local, state, and federal contracting requirements.

We are:

  • SAM Registered

  • DIR Registered

  • Extensive General Liability & Workers' Comp coverage

  • Railroad Protective Insurance

5. Impact & Legacy

Our public artworks do more than beautify — they become cultural touchstones. Whether it’s a transit corridor, a school campus, or a city plaza, our work is built to last and designed to connect people to place.

Let’s bring your space to life — beautifully, meaningfully, to last for generations.
